Purpose: This enduring material is designed to examine the management of hypertension specifically focusing on special populations of African Americans, Persons with Diabetes, & Older Adults.

Target Audience: This activity is designed for Physicians and Residents at HCA GME Hospitals.

Format: This presentation was pre-recorded for HCA GME National Grand Rounds Series.

  • Describe the current updates to the management of hypertension from the 2017 ACC/AHA High Blood Pressure Guideline.
  • Apply evidence-based medicine to the management of hypertension in special populations.
