Purpose:

This enduring material is designed to discuss improvements to postpartum education to reduce morbidity and mortality.

Target Audience: This activity is designed for Physicians and Residents at HCA GME Hospitals.

This presentation was pre-recorded for HCA GME National Grand Rounds Series.

Educational Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity you will be able to:

  • Describe the leading causes and trends in pregnancy-related morbidity and mortality.
  • Describe why it is recommended that standardizing the education mothers receive about postpartum complications and symptoms.
