HCA Healthcare Graduate Medical Education 2026 Research Days
The inaugural MidAmerica Healthcare Symposium was held on March 27th, 2026, at HCA Healthcare Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO. Residents and fellows from all MidAmerica residency/fellowship programs were represented and in attendance, along with faculty, attendings and GME/hospital administrators. Kimberly Swan MD, MBA (MidAmerica DIO) was the clinical director of the symposium. The keynote speaker was Hali Baker, MSN, APRN-CNP, TCRN, who is a Pediatric Surgery Nurse Practitioner and Quality Lead for the Division of Pediatric Surgery at Akron Children’s Hospital in Akron, OH.
There were a total of nine podium presentations and 42 poster presentations. Winners were as follows:
