Abstract
I painted after I cried on the phone with her parents. "I think she's passing away," I had told them, "You'd better come up to the hospital". Still feeling like a brand new physician, I was drowning in the ever-growing responsibility of caring for people. Real people, real lives with real consequences to my decisions. It's gotten easier feel though, through the ups and downs I've helped other humans pass. And it sounds a little dramatic, but I've found ways to help myself cope without being stranded by the waves.
