This course is brought to you by the GME Knowledge Management team. Part of the HCA Healthcare Online Writing Lab Series, QI Basics focuses on inviting the learner to:
- Identify key distinctions between QI projects and research projects.
- Outline strategies for creating your project team.
- Discuss the "5 Whys" and "Fishbone Diagram" as examples of processes you undertake to identify the root cause and refine your QI problem statement.
- Detail the iterative nature of QI using the classic P,D,S,A cycle for improvement.
- Identify compliance issues that need to be addressed prior to beginning your QI project.
