HCA Healthcare and Galen College of Nursing Art Contest 2026

The HCA Healthcare Journal of Medicine, HCA Healthcare Nursing Excellence (NEx), and Galen College of Nursing are sponsoring an art contest for all HCA Healthcare nurses and Galen faculty, staff, and students. We encourage the artistic endeavors of our colleagues, and this contest is a celebration of your creativity.
Your submissions will be judged by a panel of your peers. Your work could be eligible to be the cover of a special issue of the HCA Healthcare Journal of Medicine entitled ‘Safer Together: Transforming Healthcare Safety Strategies for Patients, Healthcare Professionals, and Academic Partners.
Submissions should be amateur, original works of visual art: painting, photography, sculpture, or other static visual media. We are limiting works to human-created arts, no AI-generated work please. Remember that images cannot contain personally identifying information. So, no photos of people if their faces can be easily recognized.
Artists must also submit a statement of no more than 250 words that explains their work. Works will be judged not only on their quality but also on their relation to the topic of safety.
