Abstract

Safety is a shared responsibility dependent upon the collective efforts of health care professionals, educators, leaders, organizations, and systems. This special nurse-led issue of the HCA Healthcare Journal of Medicine highlights scholarly works addressing education, clinical practice, and health care workforces. We are informed about safety through research, clinical reviews, case-based learning, and education. This issue was created to inspire the entire health care workforce to pursue continuous improvement to make health care safer together.
